So, it's official. I'm in. November 1 I'll be running the NYC Marathon! Marathon training starts tomorrow, which means I have to get my running butt back in gear (I've been slacking the last couple of months). However, having a goal, especially one that you've paid for, can work wonders for the accountability side of training. Thankfully my training buddy (and fun friend) for this exciting experience will be Monica! Running the New York City Marathon has always been a dream since I started running. I've actually been trying to get in the pool to run this race for the last 2 years (this was my third try!). At any rate, as I usually am at the beginning of marathon training, I'm a bit nervous, nevertheless looking forward to November!

Brienne! For some reason I thought you were taking a blogging break for the whole summer. So I haven't even been checking your blog, but today I thought I'd pop in just in case. Turns out you said you would resume the blog in June. I don't know why I read it wrong. Anyway, to answer your question a great piano tuner is Pete Myers. 731-285-3554. He comes into Memphis regularly to tune Bellevue's pianos and he has tuned our Yamaha Grand before also. You should get your piano moved into your place! Get Lane Music to do it. or Memphis Music (same owners). Let's learn a 4 hand piece together =)

ps- what training program are you on? I started training yesterday for Chicago and I'm using Hal Higdon's 18 week Novice schedule.

Sooo sorry about your kitty Brienne. Glad though that it can be postponed a little longer. I'm still very sad that our kitty is not with us. And I still think I see her or hear her!

To answer your question...Chicago is October 11.
